Many of the end-walls of the blocks of four townhouses have had their cavities filled, with mixed results. Problems have occurred in some (but not all) homes that have had the West facing wall cavities filled. The homes in which the East facing cavities have been filled seem to have fewer problems. Some owners have used alternative methods of internal insulation on the side walls.

Contact the following homes for more information:

1) Richard:  richardt99@outlook.com has cavity fill in an east-facing end wall which is working well. Richard also had PV panels added relatively recently and is happy to talk about thier installation and how he is using them to get most benefit.

 2) Ivan: tek@tekwani.co.uk considered cavity wall insulation but chose not to have it installed. Instead, he mounted insulation internally in the form of wooden cladding, which also creates an attractive finish to the wall. If you contact Ivan by e-mail during November, he will send you more information about the work he has done: This includes installing insulation behind the cladding of the front wall and fitting solar panels to the roof.

 3) Gill Howse: gillhowse@hotmail.comGill had to have her foam cavity insulation removed from a West facing end-wall. You can contact her for more information - she is also happy to discuss her external wall insulation and solar panels.
